Drug and alcohol testing, blood-borne virus (BBV) screening, point of care and return to laboratory tests using oral fluids (saliva), urine, hair and dried blood spot samples. Concateno has a full range of drug and alcohol tests and we work through partnership with drug treatment workers and service users to develop our services.

Supporting health and welfare for international maritime with drug and alcohol misuse and benzene exposure tests. Education training and seminars, policy advice, and drug and alcohol test services with return-to -laboratory legally defensible tests and on-site screening. International network of sample collection officers, and a 24/7 employee assistance programme. Our global logistics coverage ensure that sample collections can be carried out across an international collection network in all major ports and other locations worldwide. Collections are carried out under full chain of custody which ensures Concateno’s results are fully legally defensible.

Criminal Justice

Working with international government departments, police and prison services, we also hold the major UK contracts for Drug Intervention Programmes, mandatory and voluntary drug testing in prisons together with BBV screening. Using the Cozart® DDS®, UKAS accredited laboratories, and providing a tailor-made customer service including a cross-reactivity guide, training and advice.

Child Protection and Family Law

Detecting parental drug and alcohol misuse using the TrichoTech® hair analysis test. Hair strand tests can profile long term drug abuse, typically over a 3 month period, and the TrichoTest® hair drug test provides the only accredited analysis for all major illicit drug groups and for benzodiazepine. Cocaine, cannabis, opiates (such as heroin), methadone, amphetamines and methamphetamines (such as ecstasy and crystal meth), ketamine, and anti-psychotics.

Clinical Diagnostics

A wealth of experience in developing and manufacturing test kits and reagents for applications in clinical diagnostics and toxicology. Tests are manufactured in the UK and in Spain by our subsidiary Spinreact, and sold in over 100 countries worldwide.
