Challenges in Court
If the results of a hair test to detect parental drug and/or alcohol use are required for court proceedings, an Expert Witness Report is an essential document for presenting the result to the court.
On occasion when the results of a hair test are presented to court, one of the legal parties involved in the proceedings may wish to challenge the result. In this case, it is imperative that an Expert Witness from the laboratory that conducted the analysis is available to explain the testing procedure.
Our Expert Witnesses are able to attend court when required.
To ensure a test is as robust as possible, Concateno recommend:
- Using an appropriately qualified Expert Witness
- Using a laboratory accredited by UKAS to the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard
- Using a sample collection service that remains independent from both legal parties
