What if No Head Hair is Available?
If no head hair is available, we are able to detect drugs in body hair, although it is more difficult to be specific on the time period covered by the hair due to the varying growth rates between body and head hair.
If there is no body hair available, lawyers and social workers often order a package of continuous testing using either urine or oral fluid samples. In these circumstances, we strongly recommend that you speak to one of our customer service advisors who will be able to discuss your testing requirements and organise a program of testing which will suit your case.
When detecting parental alcohol use if no head hair is available, we recommend a combination of blood tests and a clinical assessment by medically trained professional. We are able to perform liver function tests (LFT) and carbohydrate deficient transferrin (CDT) tests and can recommend clinical assessment professionals for such cases.
