What Tests Can I Use?
Drug Interventions Programme
Testing as part of DIP is limited to the 173 sites selected by the Home Office. Testing within the custody suite must be carried out using the Cozart® DDS. The test analyses an oral fluid sample for the presence of opiates (including heroin), cocaine and crack cocaine.
Mandatory Dug Testing
Concateno’s specialist urine laboratory in Canary Wharf tests over 1000 samples a day. The easy to use collection kits make it simple to collect a sample, package it with the corresponding paperwork and send it to our laboratory.
Samples arrive at the Canary Wharf laboratory under full chain of custody. The laboratory is used by the HM Prisons Service Mandatory Drug Testing. The contract covers all prisons in England and Wales.
Compact Based Drug Testing
The Concateno POC urine tests have been used for the HM Prisons Service Voluntary Drug Testing since March 2000. The contract covers all prisons in England and Wales. The tests are also used by the HMPS IDTS teams, CARATs, healthcare units and in reception testing.
